“M”entoring “A”nd “P”roviding
“S”cholarships M.A.P.S.’
mission is to provide salient
mentoring relationships with
local high school seniors to
assist students with being their
phenomenal selves by instilling
pride and self-worth while
challenging students to think
critically, decide ethically, and
serve responsibly. Additionally,
our mission is to expand the
students’ horizons, while
promoting their self-worth and
self-esteem. After a meaningful
year of mentoring sessions, each
student who successfully
completes the program is
awarded a scholarship in support
of attendance at a college or
university of their preference.
